83-year-old former state Rep. Aldo Vagnozzi died at home Sunday evening, losing his battle to pancreatic cancer. Vagnozzi is remembered warmly as a jovial and kindly man; he was active in politics for most of the last 40 years, beginning with service on Farmington’s school board in 1969. Term-limited Vagnozzi had been the target of an unsuccessful recall effort this past year due to his support of the state budget bill in 2007.

Vagnozzi is survived by four children and seven grandchildren; funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Mar. 28. Details can be found at this link.
