At the end of a press conference Friday to discuss federal loans to assist the ailing auto industry in Michigan, Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm was asked about Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Blagojevich was indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly trying sell the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

Granholm said the Illinois Democrat should resign. Asked to elaborate, she responded by saying, “The thing speaks for itself.”
