The Lansing State Journal is reporting that the Country Club of Lansing is being foreclosed on. The report says the club, founded in 1908 and featuring an 18-hole golf course, is scheduled for Sheriff sale on May 7.

How much to get this place out of hock? According to the Journal: $6.75 million.

National City Bank of Michigan/Illinois holds the 1999 mortgage and did not comment. The club’s manager also declined comment.

But one club member did:

Sandy Walter, a Lansing resident and member of the private club, said she’s been trying unsuccessfully to find out what’s happening.

“I am furious,” she said.
