The folks at the New York Times really busted their tails on this piece of work — my hat’s off to you. I can only dream some day to create something this effective in such a short period of time.

The feature Tracking US Airways Flight 1549 is only six “pages” long, but it employs photos overlaid over graphics and animations to tell a story far more effectively than words could.
 
As for effective words on the subject, read Michigan blogger Marcy Wheeler’s piece about yesterday’s forced landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in New York’s Hudson River; I’m certain that traditional media overlooked the single unifying feature of yesterday’s rescuers:
