More bad news for Michigan’s economy as the state Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth announced that February unemployment figures jumped another .4% to 12% overall. Total employment dropped by 29,000 for the month while unemployment claims rose by 21,000. Last February the rate was 7.4%. Michigan leads the nation in unemployment.
