A group of citizens in Ada, Michigan has apparently succeeded in its petition drive to collect enough signatures to put a township board decision allowing Dick DeVos to build a helicopter pad at his home and use it to go back and forth. The Grand Rapids Press reports that they turned in more than 1,200 signatures; at least 973 signatures from registered voters in the township were required to get the matter put to a public vote. The township clerk will now have to certify the signatures.
