State Rep. Mike Simpson announced Wednesday he is suffering from a rare blood disorder. The disorder, called light-chain deposition, was diagnosed in the Democratic lawmaker from Jackson after he suffered “a variety of symptoms.” The disease can impact the heart, liver and kidneys.
