A new report from the University of Michigan’s Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics concludes that while we may be nearing the end of the worst decline, job growth in Michigan will continue to be virtually non-existent until 2011 — and it won’t exactly be going like gangbusters after that. The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has issued a new report on manufacturing in the Midwest states of Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. The report shows that manufacturing output in those states has sunk to the lowest levels in 12 years.
