LANSING — A Lansing police officer has filed suit against the city of Lansing alleging she was the victim of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, retaliation for her participation in a sexual harassment investigation and of being harassed for being a whistle blower. A 30-year-old man East Grand Rapids Police officials say was arrested for assaulting officers has died in police custody. In order to subdue the man, police say they had to taser him. The Grand Rapids Press reports the tasering incident has not been officially tied to the man’s death.
