Former Congressman Joe Schwarz says he is leaning towards an independent run for the governor’s office this year. He is expected to make an announcement this week, and the Battle Creek Enquirer reports that announcement could come as soon as Wednesday. “I’m leaning toward doing it,” Schwarz, 72, told the Enquirer.
