Granholm gets award from Swedish king

Gov. Jennifer Granholm was given the Order of the Polar Star by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on Thursday in Stockholm. The award was given for her efforts to promote clean energy jobs in the United States and Sweden. Granholm and King Gustaf co-hosted a conference on global warming in Michigan in 2008.
