Saginaw County has seen a decrease in foreclosures for the first part of the year, according to The Saginaw News. When asked by Michigan Messenger earlier this week about foreclosure rates, counties across the state reported varied increases and decreases in foreclosure filings.

LANSING — A legislative conference committee is close to finalizing a deal which will bring home prevention foreclosure reform to a final vote which could come as soon as later this week.

While State Rep. Andy Coulouris, who chairs the House Banking and Financial Services Committee, would not discuss details of the compromise legislation, State Sen. Randy Richardville, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee said that “in a nutshell, there is a list of criteria from California.”
