President-elect Barack Obama offered up a special edition of his weekly “radio” address, focusing on the economy and on a call to service in a spirit of renewal. You can find the full transcript of the speech at the Obama transition team’s website, Change.gov.

In Washington D.C., President Bush presided over the traditional pardoning of the Thanksgiving turkey — this year, however, there were two pardons extended, to turkeys named “Pecan” and “Pumpkin.” You can read the transcript and hear the audio of President Bush’s comments at this link.
