Bill Richardson: $45K in Michigan presidential dollars

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson raised $45,096 in 2007 from Michigan donors for his presidential campaign, according to Federal Election Commission reports. Richardson is one of five Democrats who have are honoring the DNC’s wishes in skipping the Michigan Primary.

Richardson was in the middle of the pack when it came to fundraising among the Democratic candidates, behind Clinton, Obama and Edwards. Donations came from across Michigan, from the metro-Detroit area to a loyal, multiple-time donor in Munising.

Several recognizable Michigan names gave to Richardson’s war chest, including MSU Board of Trustee Member Dorothy Gonzalez ($201), Former Granholm Staff Richard Weiner ($1,000) and the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe in Mt. Pleasant ($1,000).
