Just out of curiosity, I went to the GSA website and clicked through several links… I couldn't find the sites Ms. Bublitz referenced, but she missed that part where they say

State and provincial groups may or may not be related to national or international groups, and GSAs may operate without ever interacting with a national or other group. There are also organizations that work on education matters that do the work of GSAs without the formation of GSAs.

So the fact that a particular group advocates keeping parents out of the loop doesn't equate with the main GSA mission.  And Ms. Bublitz' concerns re: “information about anal sex” sounds more like safe sex education. 

If you ask a group of parents, “Do you want your child to be sexually active?” most will say no.  Change the question to “Do you want your child to contract a sexually-transmitted and possibly fatal disease?” and I bet the answer would be HELL, no.  Sadly, not enough adults make the connection between information and safety.

I hope that Bay City Central's GSA continues to make the school a safer place for all students.
