By Ed Brayton | 11.03.11 | 7:19 am

One of the member of the Hutaree militia, arrested last year and charged with plotting to kill police officers to spark a war with the government, will plead guilty next week when he appears before a federal judge in Detroit.

The Detroit Free Press reports:

A Hutaree militia member known as Mouse is expected to enter the first guilty plea in the highly watched case next week, according to a notice filed today in federal court.

Joshua Clough of Blissfield – also referred to in the indictment as Azzurlin, Az, and Mouse – is scheduled to plead guilty Nov. 8 before U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts.

The details of his guilty plea aren’t known. Clough’s lawyer Randall Roberts could not be reached for comment.

There are eight other members of the militia facing similar charges. Their trials are slated to begin in February.
