After four years of operation in Michigan, the board of the American Independent News Network, has decided to shift publication of its news into a single site, The American Independent at Americanindependent.com. This is part of a shift in strategy, towards new forms [...]

A small band of protesters and Barack Obama supporters holds signs outside Dow Corning’s Solar Solutions Application Center in Freeland while Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain, R-Ariz. visited the facility.)

I think we found the rationale for Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s latest campaign “stunt,” calling for a suspension of campaigning in order to appear to be a man of decisive action on the economy.

Yesterday, Sen. McCain arrived in economically depressed Michigan for a quick campaign stop, flying into a lean GOP area near the middle of the state to tour a nearby manufacturer’s facility wherein solar panel composites are developed. The local newspaper covering the event ran an article and a gallery of photos; the headline read,

“Dozens show up at MBS airport for chance to see McCain”

Throngs of dozens.

And some of those dozens looked like the people in the photo above.

There are no photos in the gallery of McCain with more than three people in any shot.

Add polling data released earlier today that shows voters having more faith in Democratic candidate Barack Obama on the economy to his recent crowd of “dozens” in Michigan.

If you were McCain’s campaign adviser, what would you do?

Throw another “Hail Mary” PR stunt to change the subject, perhaps?

Well let’s take look at this.
America has a problem and John McCain puts his tail between his legs and runs and hides.
That gives his spin machine time to pull out the American Flags and come up with a scenario where they are able to spin McCain into the imaginary hero of the moment. The problem for him is that Barack Obama will not play his games and McCain does not like it. What is his answer, he becomes the school yard bully and cries? Bo! Ho! You will not have ten town hall meetings with me, so I can lie and slander you. You can’t pick on me (pull out and wave the flags) because I spent five years in a Vietnamese prison. I for one want someone that cares about the American people rather then flies this imaginary American Flag. It’s time for John McCain to finally grow up and face the American people without one of his lobbyists speaking for him.

reminds me of an old story of some cowboys that try to fool an absentee owner of the ranch they worked on. the owner showed up, alarmed at the reports of rustlers in the area, and the cowboys assured him that the reports were unfounded, and proceeded to round up and march all the cattle by him so he could see and make his own head-count. the wiley cowboy(rustlers) circled the cattle around the ranch house multiple times, as to make it appear that all the steers were there that were s'pposed to be! Ya s'ppose these cowboys were early repuglicans?? Missed reading Your Writings while I was out west myself!! Keep at 'Em L.! kc
