Snyder won’t attend Texas prayer event

By Ed Brayton | 06.07.11 | 7:22 am

Texas Gov. Rick Perry is headlining a prayer rally at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Aug. 6 and invited all of the other governors in the country to join him. Gov. Rick Snyder has turned down the invitation.

Lasher said Snyder supports religious events such as the National Day of Prayer, but his schedule is extremely busy.

“Just because the budget is done doesn’t mean the economic development work is done,” Lasher said.

“Economic development is a strong priority and that’s where he continues to stay focused.”

The prayer event is being paid for by the American Family Association. The website for the event calls the event “apolitical,” but the fact that it’s being headlined by a governor who is considering running for president and all the other governors were invited seems to indicate otherwise.

One of Snyders biggest campaign donations came from the Koch brothers.  Can we see a news report on that?  He’s working for the billionaires Koch brothers.  Impeach Snyder for misconduct!  He’s working for the Koch brothers!  The corporation god.
