The students involved in Michigan State University’s Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) student group are cooing about their recognition in July on the Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) Web site. The CofCC Web site noted Spartan Spectator, the official blog of MSU YAF, as a pro-white blog.
Their list of “pro-white blogs” is introduced as follows on the CofCC Web site:
What was once the sole domain of the far-left, has become a battleground for the far-right in recent months. Internet “blogs” [expressing] an explicit “pro-white” point of view are popping up everywhere. Whereas, a few years ago the anti-white, far-left “lovemongers” had a lock on the “blogosphere,” you are now just as likely to find people attacking multi-culturalism and political correctness.
The CofCC is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, as is the MSU YAF chapter. In 2007, when the MSU chapter was listed as a hate group, then-chairman of YAF, Kyle Bristow, denied the group was anything like the neo-Nazis or the KKK.
“They don’t have a right to compare us to Nazis or the KKK when we’re not like that,” Bristow told the MSU newspaper The State News.
Since that time, Bristow has been linked to numerous white nationalists and in April he hosted an appearance by Canadian neo-Nazi Paul Fromm.
