Workers’ rights amendment submitted in House

By Ed Brayton | 03.23.11 | 7:26 pm

House Joint Resolution S would add this provision to the Michigan constitution if passed as a referendum in the next election:

Every person shall have the right to form, join, or assist labor organizations and to bargain collectively through representatives chosen by the members of the labor organizations as to wages, benefits, and conditions of employment.

Thank you for introducing this Resolution. Everyone should have the right to choose. Many current bills have been introduced which remove our right to choose. This is a democracy and should remain as such.
