Are you kidding me? I thought I lived in America, but apparently I was wrong. This bill will totally take away what little power we average citizens have, not to mention our individuality, which is what makes our country great. The government already has too much power and we can all see where that got us. Sign me up for the first march/protest available!

I am a public employee, unionized, AND a citizen and TAXPAYER. I also vote–in every election. Suck that up, Republicans. We’ll get you out next time.

Where are they teabaggers on this? Oh, that’s right… they’re fine with “government takeover” as long as it suites their worldview. What a bunch of hypocritical morons.

As a Republican, I think I agree with you Democrats on this one. That is a bit absurd, I think. If I cast my vote for someone, and that person wins, THAT is the person I WANT, as a voter, in office, period.

Good job, Michigan Messenger. Keep bringing this stuff to our attention.

I got here from a friend via twitter. I know my comment is one little voice in a sea of noise. But as a person from Britain facing similar cuts because our banking system collapsed very much as America’s did. I just wanted to say that this peice was exceptionally refreshing to see.

Other areas of the world very rarely get to see reasonable political comment come from the US. We get stupidity like fox news and view it as satire. But I was really happy to see that at least someone in the US actually has an intellectually valid stance and is able to elucidate it very clearly.

So good on you. I hope youre viewers actually take the message on board.

I’m a moderate conservative from a Michigan family that recently moved back to this fine state from Florida to pursue a film career. I’m also a US Army Veteran.

I moved here on the 22nd, and NO ONE has any idea about any of this budget madness going on down south. In fact in a recently telephone call my mother warned me about getting involved with unions.

    …my God…just…my God.
