Despite evidence of the impact of mercury on children and public health, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette last month joined with 24 other state attorneys general in filing a lawsuit to scuttle new EPA regulations that would reduce mercury emissions from power plants.

Former head of Michigan Republican Party endorses Schauer

Yet another prominent Republican has come out and endorsed Democrat Mark Schauer in his race against Republican Tim Walberg in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District. This time it’s Gary Reed, former executive director of the Michigan Republican Party.

Former U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz, who once held the same seat Schauer now holds, has already endorsed Schauer. Walberg replaced Schwarz in that seat from 2006-2008, then was defeated by Schauer and is now trying to regain the office.

    attorney general will investigate wayne county treasurer for sale of tax foreclosed properties owned by the county, properties were sold at 10 times higher amount minimum bid than all other mi. counties by an unlicensed real estate broker based out of maryland with no athority to do business in mi.,who infact are also being investigated in 20 other U. S. jurisdictions. these auctions were held contrary to Mi. law and totally administered by Democratic Party officials.these auctions total in 10s of millions of dollars and in light of a previous democrtic operative being sentenced to jail for activities dating back to 2008 wayne county tax foreclosure auction this method of disposition of properties should be investigated and taken over by the state and dept. of natural resources who are the ultimate responcible party.

    I guess Gary Reed and Joe Schwarz would also have us believe that Mark Schauer better represents Republican principles than Tim Walberg? I think even Mark Schauer, in moments of candor, would find that amusing. Gary and Joe, join the ranks of Colin Powell and David Gergen. You have now attained irrelevancy as Republicans.
