Two Michigan House seats called key to GOP majority

Politico takes a comprehensive look at the battle for control of the U.S. House of Representatives and lists all of the districts that are likely in play in November. They divide that list into those seats that are the most at risk of flipping from Democratic to Republican and those seats that could lead the way to a Republican majority in the House.

Michigan has two races on that second list: District 1, where Dan Benishek and Gary McDowell are fighting to replace Rep. Bart Stupak, and District 7, where Rep. Mark Schauer is squaring off with the man he defeated in 2008, Tim Walberg. The GOP needs to pick up 39 seats to gain control of the House.
