The pig has been adorned with “Elect Drolet” banners, according to the ruling from the SoS. The banners failed to identify that all important paid for disclaimer, putting the pig afoul of the law.
The ruling comes after Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer filed a complaint, complete with pictures.
Mr. Perks became an icon of the budget battles in 2007, with Drolet hauling the pig to Lansing and parking it on the street in front of the capitol to protest what he and other tax protesters called excessive government.
