Anti-Hoekstra ads pulled by TV stations

A campaign commercial that criticizes Rep. Pete Hoekstra, Republican candidate for governor, has been pulled by several TV stations for inaccuracy. WOOD-TV, WOTV and WXSP have all stopped showing the ad, which was paid for by Americans for Job Security, because it criticizes Hoekstra for not signing a pledge not to raise taxes.

In fact, Hoekstra has signed such a pledge and his campaign gave copies of it to the stations, prompting them to withdraw the ad. The pledge is the brainchild of Americans for Tax Reform, which lists Hoekstra as having signed it.
