On the Hutaree message board, an apparent member of the group named Anna left a message with some details of what happened. She says the FBI raid came into their home and she and one child escaped and are now driving south. Here’s the full message:

The Federal Authorities have raided not only our group but also the Michigan Militia. They have hijacked their website and placed word there that they were not raided.

We need some help please. This has to stop. I am enroute south with my children using the wifi’s as I can.

They were catching others as they came to their rallying points, they broke into homes and took children and used the tasers on wives, my son who is 12 and I got out by crawling through the creeks behind our house.

My husband and others are taken, please call the press and tell them, if any in the Michigan Militia is still free please rally with them.
Please help.

    Important book detailing the life of former F.B.I. agent Robert Maheux
    and his relationship with the Mafia. Groundbreaking book in
    understanding FBI collaboration with the Mafia, using it to carry out
    assassinations on President Kennedy, Martin Luther King and others.
    Maheux was the liason between the Mafia and the FBI when the FBI assassinated President Kennedy and Martin Luther King.

    Dr. Whitehurst was the chemist who analyzed Timothy McVeigh's clothes

    Prosecutors move to dismiss charges against former Scout leader

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. –Federal prosecutors have moved to dismiss charges against a retired FBI agent who was indicted on child sex charges dating back more than a decade when he was a Boy Scout leader, in response to the death of his accuser.

    William Hutton, 63, of Killingworth, was arrested in February on charges he enticed a member of his Scout troop to Maine for the purpose of sexual activity in 1994 and 1995.

    Two daughters of former state and federal law enforcement official Edward Rodgers were awarded $2.319,400 yesterday, after a Denver judge and jury found that the women suffered years of abuse at the hands of their father.

    The award to Sharon Simone, 45, and Susan Hammond, 44, followed testimony of Rodgers’ four daughters in person or through depositions, describing repeated physical abuse and sexual assaults by their father from 1944 through 1965.

    Rodgers, 72, who became a child abuse expert after retiring from the FBI and joining the colorado Springs DA’s office, failed to appear for the trial. But in a deposition taken in March, Rodgers denied ever hitting or sexually abusing his children.

    WASHINGTON (AP) – The former chief internal watchdog at the FBI has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl and has admitted he had a history of molesting other children before he joined the bureau for what became a two-decade career.

    John H. Conditt Jr., 53, who retired in 2001, was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison in Tarrant County court in Fort Worth, Texas, after he admitted he molested the daughter of two FBI agents after he retired. He acknowledged molesting at least two other girls before he began his law enforcement career, his lawyer said.

    BOISE, Idaho (AP) A longtime FBI agent who helped arrest mountain-man Claude Dallas and was involved in a deadly 1984 siege involving white supremacists in Washington state is going to prison for 12 months after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography.

    William Buie, 64, of Boise, most recently worked as an investigator for the Idaho attorney general's office.

    SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. A F.B.I. analyst has been sentenced to seven years in prison for having sex with a young girl in Spotsylvania County.
    Forty-four-year-old Anthony John Lesko entered an Alford plea yesterday in Spotsylvania County Circuit Court to nine counts of felony indecent liberties upon a child. An Alford plea means Lesko doesn't admit guilt but believes there is enough evidence for a conviction.
    Authorities say Lesko engaged in a sex act with her nine times, beginning when she was nine years old.
    According to the plea, Lesko said he was a victim in the case. He said the girl initiated the contact.

    Former Great Falls FBI agent sentenced on child sex charges

    A man from Great Falls who's accused of sexually assaulting five underage girls will be spending the next 10 years behind bars.

    Stanley Perkins, 64, changed his plea to guilty after police began investigating him for child molestation in August 2006.

    The former educator, who also served two years as an FBI agent, was sentenced on one count of felony sexual assault.

    Sounds to me like something happened which provoked the raid. It could be as simple as anti-moslem threats, as some have reported. The group favorited video on youtube which supported the Serbian side in the Kosovo war crimes, for example, so it seems likely that is where their sympathy lies.

    Really, I think it's unhelpful for the Messgenger to speculate on anonymous, slanted stuff, before the facts of the case have even emerged, as it could prompt other militia members to start incidents and break the law, for no good reason!

At the same time we've heard three different reasons they were arrested. 1. They sold a pipe bomb to someone 2. They made thrats against muslims and now 3. They planned to kill some police officers and some of their family members. The fact that 3 different stories emerged made me immediately think of Waco & Ruby Ridge.

        If they really did plan to kill police officers and their family members I hope they get the max.v If this is just another trumped up charge like what happened on Ruby Ridge I have a problem with it.

        We hear on the news, the internet and in the papers there are muslims here that are training at 36 jihadist camps in America, they speak out against us and say things like they want to kill us where's the raids on them, their training camps and their Mosque's?

    On the one hand, I want to say that I think this Hutaree bunch are total wackjobs. But then, didn't we as a country elect a man who is friends with former Weather Underground like Bill Ayers? Bill Ayers, involved in the bombing of a police station, unprosectuted because of a technicality, and stating in a recent interview that he 'regrets none of his actions?' So maybe the truth of it is that we really are nothing but a country full of wackjobs.

      Bubbawlz … note the keyword: FORMER. I don't know about you, but I want people to get on with their lives and prosper once they've paid their dues. Maybe Ayers hasn't, but that is beside the point even if it's unfortunate – although it should be pointed out that the weather underground made a point of not injuring people and planning carefully not to, which is a rather different matter from plotting explicitly to kill somebody, which this group allegedly did.

      However, if these guys were convicted and served their time, or if they were found innocent, then got back to lead a prosperous productive life, I wouldn't wish them ill or judge anyone who befriends them afterwards. Especially if — going back to your Ayers example again — at the time of the actual crime the new friend was a child, as Obama was. For all the chest-thumping about Christianity going on, there's very little readiness to forgive even after a long time. Which is a shame.

            1973 to 77, infantry… It was fun, we had a chance to go to German Army mountain climbing school and two commando schools the French hosted (light weight training… the hardest part was eating their bread), then joined the 19th Special Forces group in Utah for a few years… finally went to college for computer engineering, then software… am a few years from retirement at age 55…. Richard Nixon was my first Commander in Chief…
