Leader of gay Republican group for state resigns

The president of the Michigan Log Cabin Club, an organization for gay Republicans, announced today he is resigning his post. Greg Wright said in an email to the group that he was leaving Michigan and returning to his home state of New York to pursue other career options. He will be replaced by Noel Siksai, a Royal Oak political consultant and the vice president of the group. The group will select permanent president during their November meeting. Wright is also resigning his post as a board member of the LBGT organization Michigan Equality.
