‘Mittens’ doggin’ it for McCain in Denver

By LoRayne Apo-Joynt | 08.28.08 | 4:02 pm

Detroit-born Mitt “Mittens” Romney has been sighted in Denver, according to our sister site, The Colorado Independent.  He went into the RNC Rapid Response Center and emerged later, on the attack like a junkyard dog.

Is this yet another head fake, a redirection of our attention to Mitt as a likely veep show dog while the McCain campaign continues to piddle around looking for another, better veep candidate?  It’s so hard to tell, what with the burst of info/disinfo about Bush’s so-called brain, Karl Rove, trying to “kill” Sen. Joe Lieberman’s chances at the GOP veep nod to the benefit of Mitt.  It seems that Mitt is Karl’s choice for McCain’s bestest buddy.

We’re also hearing that Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Pawlenty may be in Denver; are they putting both their best dogs in the same ring to determine which one shows best, which one not only looks the part but can bare their fangs and bark loudest, in comparison to one another?

All that’s missing is Mike Huckabee to make this a real show; a pity, since I do love a good dog show.  Don’t you?
