I am one of those who strongly oppose K-12 education budget cuts. How can anyone with children in school be in agreement with slashing education? So where should the money come from? How about the legislature reduce their staff and start paying for their own meals, gasoline, drive their own cars and use less resources that are provided for them with tax-payers' money. But this will never happen, so here is another suggestion. To provide more funding for schools everyone who has kids in school needs to start using, www.mainstreetfair.com. Main Street Fair is an online auctions and classified ads website that will donate money to schools and all people have to do is what we are doing already, buy and shop online. Every time that a person sells an item on mainstreetfair.com a school of their choice receives ten percent of the listing fees. I use this website and like it because it is easy to use, offers low listing fees and it donates money to a good cause, education.
