Publisher: Sarah Palin will sell most books in Michigan

By Minehaha Forman | 11.12.09 | 5:34 pm

The publisher of former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s new book Going Rogue thinks Michigan is where the former governor of Alaska will sell the most copies of her new book

That’s why HarperCollins picked Grand Rapids to kickoff her national book tour.

A spokeswoman for Palin’s publisher told the Detroit news:

“[Palin] feels like this is where her fans are and Harper feels this is where she’ll sell the most books.”

Even though Palin and her running mate John McCain lost Michigan to the democratic candidates by percentage 14 points, the West side of the state where Palin plans to visit is still a Republican stronghold.

There has been a significant amount of speculation that Palin is planning a presidential run with the Republican Party in 2012. If that is the case, then early promotion in a battleground state can’t hurt.
