Medical Marijuana is a growing industry. California is ahead of the game and has many places you can obtain medical marijuana. www.budtrader.com is an example of where the industry is going. They even have a section for Michigan

Very interesting piece raising many of the questions that do haunt this "worst piece of legislation he has ever seen in his life"........I am sure that Hizzoner was speaking to the lack of any kind of regulation program in the legislation (which is also a mitigating factor in MMP licensed citizens)............ the fact that local law enforcement are supplied no real help with lists or information concerning who is allowed to use it, possess it, grow it lawfully(the registration card does not even have a current picture on it).........................Not to mention the number of multi-county drug task forces that Michigan has operating in it ( SANE, BAYONET, etc.) which answer to nobody in particular and are spending millions of taxpayer $$ on "the war on drugs"...........you can see why Hizzoner calls it bad legislation. He would have been better off explaining why he called it that, but that's apples and oranges stuff.

While it is a well intended law aimed at relieving pain and a plethora of other ailments that are associated with some of the most painful diseases and health issues, it is quite frankly "grey" in many areas........I imagine the court system will have to hammer out how this law is interpreted. The lawmakers in Lansing may have left it lean on purpose, but it seems like they kinda dropped the ball on the endgame of this legislation, leaving the citizens of Michigan and law enforcement authorities hanging in the wind.

I am an MMP certified person who has always been an advocate of the decriminalization of marijuana and these are a few issues just off the top of my head....... Other questions revolve around the "cottage industry" of marijuana cultivation for profit that the law is inviting. Do you really think that I can afford procure it at $400 an ounce for medicine?? I must learn to grow it on my own as cheaply as I can.

Bravo! to Michigan for enacting a law of compassion............. but part of me has to agree with Hizzoner and his statement.
