Bernero opens re-election headquarters in Lansing

LANSING — Incumbent Mayor Virgil Bernero opened his re-election campaign headquarters Friday afternoon. Surrounded by campaign staff, supporters and city officials at his new offices, located in house on busy Michigan Avenue, Bernero touted what he said were his successes in the past four years.

“We haven’t lost one uniformed police officer or firefighter,” Bernero said discussing his administration’s battle with million dollar budget deficits.

Watching the mayor speak were representatives from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, Ingham County Clerk Mike Bryanton, and City Council at Large and former 1st Ward Council member Harold Leeman.

Bernero also introduced his new campaign manager, Patrick McAlvey.

    election is one of the most important event for a country or city, it is peoples duty to elect the leader which they think can serve them or should I say would become a good leader

    Every citizen should actively participate in the elections. Its their Right & Duty both. The country's government entirely depends on the citizen.
