White Pride Michigan seems to be most active on the west side of the state, particularly the Grand Rapids area. They’ve recently been distributing fliers around the Grand Rapids Community College campus that say:

The group is new enough that they have not yet been listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as one of the hate groups operating in Michigan. Like most such groups, they complain mightily about being called a hate group, yet they make incredible claims like “blacks [are] the predominant carrier and spreader of the AIDS virus.” And they call police officers “the soldiers of the establishment, the Jews, the wealthy white traitor class, and the protectors of race-mixing.” Gosh, I can’t imagine why anyone would get the idea that they’re a hate group, can you?
This is exactly the kind of group that the Department of Homeland Security spoke about in their recent report on right wing hate groups in the United States that could easily turn violent. There has been a serious resurgence of such groups in the wake of Obama’s historic election.
