Making good on a bet she made last week with fellow Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue of North Carolina, Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm was photographed wearing a University of North Carolina jersey and cap and munching on a Krispy Kreme doughnut with blue icing.

Both governors made the friendly wager in the days before the NCAA men’s basketball championship game, where North Carolina defeated Michigan State 89-72.

Granholm did get her digs in, however. A basketball with an MSU logo is seen in the background of the picture. Granholm also donated $100 in personal funds to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.

Nice to know that government figures such as Granholm still have time to make friendly wagers despite her busy schedule. A good old recreational stressbuster is very much needed by our busy leaders to get away from the pressures of the daunting tasks that they face. She's looking good on that cap and jersey, and those donuts look really delicious!
