Poll: Many disapprove of Granholm’s job

By Justin Miller | 03.25.09 | 9:03 am

Gov. Jennifer Granholm is getting poor marks from a large majority of likely voters in a new poll.

The survey conducted by EPIC-MRA shows 63 percent of respondents gave Granholm negative marks about the job she’s doing. This is nearly a record disapproval rating for Granholm: 66 percent disapproved in June 2007.

Sixty-nine percent said Michigan was on the wrong track, more than the 54 percent who said the same of the country being headed in the wrong direction.

President Obama has a 54 percent approval rating, which is less than the 57 percent of Michigan’s vote he won in the election.

The survey of 600 likely voters was taken 19-22 and has a margin of error of 4 percent.

54% approval rating for Mr. O in Michigan isn't really good news. I wonder what the disapproval rating was?

Granholm's approval rating might be tied to her fruitless attempts to lure Japanese and Swedish industries to our state. Granholm wants a green economy composed of windmills and solar energy. Her preoccupation with that fantasy takes her mind off real problems here in the state. She resisted reducing taxes on small businesses, one thing that would have given Michigan a boost. I hope she will be at the Tea Party in Lansing on April 15th to address her failures.

yes because Kalamazoo, Is where so many in Michigan live.get over it mid and west Michigan.South east Michigan has the most people and to have a poll with out asking them seems stupid to me.I like Governor Granholm.I also like Snyder. The Federal Government controls foreign trade,State governments are not allowed to negotiate their own agreements.Blame the Federal Government for NAFTA,China,Columbia,South Korea.Japan, and all of Europe getting unfair trade.BTW GOP in this state are equally stupid Why not pass DRIC if it won't cost Michigan a dime, and be one of the largest building projects in America in years.
