Despite evidence of the impact of mercury on children and public health, Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette last month joined with 24 other state attorneys general in filing a lawsuit to scuttle new EPA regulations that would reduce mercury emissions from power plants.

AIDS Walk Michigan East Lansing-Lansing this weekend

LANSING– Hundreds of local residents will gather at Valley Court Park in East Lansing Saturday Sept. 30. The event will open with registration at 10 a.m., followed by a 12 noon ceremony featuring East Lansing Mayor Sam Singh and Lansing Mayor Virgil Bernero. The walk will kick off at 1 p.m.

    HONK YOUR HORNS AND GET WILD… WHOO!  It’s probably going to be spectacular.  There are no protesters even better. Those LAAN T-shirts never go out of style.  It was fun to get loud while walking and get the word out last year.  Get those horns a honking and people actually thinking.  I won’t be attending this year, but I did donate.  Urge those in the same predicament of not being able to walk to go forth donate, and spread the word.
